Norris Crowned 2025 F1 World Champion after Abu Dhabi GP

At the 2025 season finale — the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix — Lando Norris finished third. That result was enough to secure his first-ever Drivers’ Championship with a total of 423 points.

Despite the race win by Max Verstappen and second place for Oscar Piastri, Norris’s consistency throughout the season paid off. Verstappen ended on 421 points and Piastri on 410.

Norris becomes the 11th British driver to win the F1 world title and the first driver for McLaren to win since Lewis Hamilton in 2008.
